Voltaic Strategic Resources (ASX:VSR) kicks off phase two drilling at Ti Tree, WA

Aug 02, 2023

Voltaic Strategic Resources (VSR) has launched a phase two drilling campaign at its Ti Tree lithium project in Western Australia's Gascoyne region.

The new program follows a phase one campaign, where "significant" width pegmatites of up to 58 metres were intercepted from surface at VSR's Andrada prospect.

The phase two program includes 24 to 30 drill holes for around 3000 metres, targeting lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatites.

VSR CEO Michael Walshe said the phase one drilling success, to go along with its recent placement which raised $7.1 million, enabled the phase two campaign to begin.

"Our phase one campaign has barely scratched the surface in terms of understanding the depth and scale potential of our tenure," he said.

"Its purpose was to understand structure and continuity; using the drill bit as an exploration tool as we vector to the most prospective parts of the project area.

"Following the extremely strong level of support for the $7 million placement, we are now well funded to realise our ambitious plans to vector to the best part of our tenure at Ti Tree," Mr Walshe added.

The company announced its newest campaign would aim to define the extent and along-strike continuity of the pegmatites already intercepted, plus test six additional targets at the Andrada and Morpheus prospects.

VSR reported it expected the assays to be returned in around three weeks.

It also announced target generation was continuing, with rock chip sampling, geological mapping, and soil sampling programs underway across south Ti Tree, with multiple geophysical surveys planned to begin in June.

Shares in VSR were up 4.65 per cent and trading at nine cents at 3:00 pm AEST.
